Probably the most surprising performance (in a good way) of Lollapalooza this year was Bassnectar. As Perry’s closing headliner for Day 2, we knew that he had to have been solid to earn that honor. However, we were  in for a remarkable awakening when he actually took the stage and crushed it on Saturday night! Just as you can’t judge a book by its cover, you just simply can’t get a feel for how ridiculous Bassnectar’s deep-thumping beats are based upon videos and media online.
